The Made Goods Outdoor 2024 collection offers unique finishes and materials that satisfy a range of styles—everything from traditional to modern to European to coastal. The handcrafted nature of these pieces introduce moments of pause to any outdoor space, revealing pockets of open-air serendipity throughout a property.
Each image evokes a serendipitous encounter with something special and unexpected. Oversized pendants that cast light on alfresco dining. Candy-colored resin completes a playful retreat. Nature-inspired silhouettes blend seamlessly into their surroundings, with eye-catching finishes.
The Process
Tight timelines are unavoidable, and this shoot was no exception. Having been introduced to the line just a few weeks before having our lifestyle shoot meant it was boots on the ground for everyone involved.
I'm a very hands-on designer/art director, so to start planning for this shoot I cut each thumbnail image out that we received from the vendors of our samples and organized them across a large table, which I'm sure everyone was thrilled I was taking up (sorry!). Visually, I was able to create product groupings that made the most sense with the freedom to man quick changes where necessary. This made creating my mood boards and shot list so much quicker, and I was able to get a good idea of where this shoot was headed.
